I decided to photograph my family eating dinner on a normal night. Most nights at dinner time we will eat in seperate rooms doing different things. When I go to Scotland I will take pictures of how our dinner time was when I lived there. Most nights in Scotland my family would eat with grandparents, aunt and uncles, cousins or just the four of us. Every night we would eat together, as a family, and I miss that.

Zoe - Like I've told you before, I do like your idea a lot. I think there are many ideas that you can compare/contrast life here and life in Scotland. I like your first idea - mealtime as that is very different in the two cultures and once you get the Scotland photo we will really be able to see it. Just make sure you think in advance - make a list- of what you want to do here vs. there as you'll only be in Scotland a short period of time. We talked about landscapes, houses, hanging out here vs. there, I don't know about religion, it's endless. I also like your idea of having them together in the diptychs/triptychs etc. to really show the difference. Your could also benefit from journaling of your experiences between the two places maybe on the borders of the photos? Just a thought.
HEY ZOE!!!!!
Hope your having lots of fun in Scotland!! Can't wait to see the pictures when you get back!!!
